Slytherin birthday card!

Hi!this weeks craft is a slytherin birthday card you could give to another potter obsessed  friend!

You will need:
green cellophane
silver foil
A4 paper
teabag
pen
A4 card
scissors
prit stick


Step 1:fold the A4 card in half and prit-stic on the green cellophane to the front
step2: cut out a jagged bit of paper(so that it will fit in the middle of your card) then
          dampen the teabag with a warm water then smear across the teabag to give
           it a parchment effect.Leave to dry.
step3: Write on the paper: Or perhaps in slytherin you will make great friends,Those
           cunning folk use any means To achieve their ends
          In curly writing then stick in the middle of the card
step4: rip of a long strip of silver foil  and roll in you palms into sausage  then put prit-stic
          on all the sides of the card then stick and shape round the edges
step5:Leave to dry then fill out and give to a friend!

(Anime)Ginny Weasley portrait

Hello everyone sorry for not posing yesterday was busy with gymnastics training :(
I did this on sunday as i was experimenting with anime and i ended up with drawing ginny!
It took about 30min and i used watercolour pencils what do you think? (please consider that it is my first attempt and yes i know the hair  is awful)

Hi everyone well i was browsing stardoll and i saw these fab creative HP suites and just had to feauture them!:

HP Craft:Riddles diary (pics included)

Hello Im back again! This post shows you how to make a replica of riddles diary Harry stabbed with a basilisk  fang to save Ginny Weasley. Later he also finds out its a Hourcrux.

You will need:
A4 sheet of quite thick card
about 20 sheets of A4 plain paper
black and white paint
Teabag
Scissors
tape


Step1.  Fold the paper and card in half then slip the paper inside the card and cut out a jagged uneven hole
              in the middle   BUT LEAVE THE BACK PIECE OF CARD UNCUT!!!

step 2. paint the card black (all sides except the inner back ) and dampen the teabag in warm water and wipe
           over all the paper leaving it with a old parchment effect .Leave to dry

step 3.Once dry paint the inner back cover a dark grey (mix the white and black) and add some pale grey to
             the edges of the the jagged hole on the front cover. Leave to dry again

step 4. Slip the Paper into the card again and open in the middle then take a long strip of tape and wrap it
           round the spine and the middle of the middle page.

Step 5. display were you want and enjoy!

Crookshanks Artwork!

Hello everyone sorry for not posting for a while, I have been busy with studies and gym :(
But i squeezed in some time for 2 art projects i will show the other one later in the week.This
took about 45min and i did it using watercolour pens

Harry potter paper mache wands!

Hello again! This is the first Hp craft to go up on the blog!
I made these in the first week of the xmas holidays they take
 a few hours to make but were good fun!

(to make 1 wand)
You will need:
1 long quite thick and round paint brush
newspaper
some gloopy glue :)
scissors
paint (in the color you want to paint it)


Instructions:

1.cut the bristles off the paintbrush
2.paper mache the paintbrush
(make one end thicker if you want a obvious handle
or lumps along to make it like the elder wand)
3.leave to dry
4 once its dry then paint how you want
5 once its dry again display were you want with pride! :)

Top:Draco Malfoy's
Middle:Dumbledore's (the elder wand)
Bottom:Harry potter's

Now I know that this blog is called potterpainted but i think im going to branch out a bit so i will be posting Harry potter art done in pencils charcoals and than some Harry potter crafts i have done.
So the below are my first attempts at using charcoal pencils(i got them for Xmas)

(yes i know the hand is dodgy)
